I think this might be an issue with core VS Code itself and how it interacts with mobile devices but I am not sure. I briefly tried looking for issues on VS Code's repo but did not find anything that seems to match.
Hello, no, this happens In codespaces And vscode server, on touchscreen devices, EVEN though i had a Bluetooth keyboard connected
Oh interesting, if it also happens in Codespaces you will probably get better answers from the VS Code team themselves: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode
We just take VS Code and patch it a little, but we are not touching any of the keyboard input code so it seems likely the problem is in core VS Code.
Maybe it is something like this issue: microsoft/vscode#195702

Hello when i try to type in editor, words get inputted repetedly, phrases deleted and its really unusable after that. To further show what i mean here are attached video examples
