Sorry for the lack of an iteration plan issue. We've been focused mostly on 7.0, but the current thinking is:

   • 6.0 is based on the current codebase, but mainly adds behavioral alignment for 7.0 (e.g. deprecations, settings default changes)
   • 7.0 is the new typescript-go codebase, which you can try out now in VS Code or through npm
   • we want to release 6.0 early 2026 (think late January or some time February)
   • 7.0 will be released about a month later

You can keep track of what we're working on for 6.0 at https://github.com/microsoft/TypeScript/issues?q=milestone%3A%22TypeScript%206.0.0%22
